The Multi-user feature changed with KitKat. With Jellybean, just adding that line in the build.prop would activate Multi-user.
While there are several tweaks that can be made in system files under KK, it's just as easy to install an app called Xposed Framework. This gives you the ability to load a variety of Xposed Framework modules to change several things on your system. There is an Xposed Framework module available that will turn on the Multi-user feature in a KitKat ROM without having to tweak all of those system files. I've tested it, and it works pretty well...although I have no use for Multi-user, myself.
Be careful with loading other modules, though. Some of them may cause your tablet to freeze or reboot. Those modules have been mentioned in these threads.

Multi user
Hi.
I've seen we've got the line
fw.max_users = 4
in our build.prop. But this isn't enough for activate the multi user feature.
I would really like to know how to get this feature.
Is here anybody that could help me?
Thanks.

Good!
Thanks Randy. Installed 3.0 with 407 kernel. Results so far:
- installation: no probem ( you may want to explain a little more on how to switch kernels in the readmefirst)
- fast and stable ( in 2.7 I experienced more or less frequent reboots and hangups)
- Bluetooth didn't work with my bluetooth speaker in 2.7 but does now
- no graphics artefarcts like in 2.6. Good.
- battery drain (w/o 3g) is good
- all apps install smoothly and appear to work as intended
- apparently no wifi improvements
To find out
- gps
- long term stability

My Hay Day farm on my computer monitor.
Connected using Pipo X5 dongle.
I haven't tested it thoroughly, but it seems to work better than with JB ROM's.

DU Speed Booster
I've just read a review of DU Speed Booster.
Does anyone have any experiences or thoughts about this app?
Is it as wonderful as the review says it is?
Would it have the same effect on the Pipo?

Flashed this ROM last friday. Really smooth.
Problems: Battery drains really fast when using 3G.
I'm trying to find what causes it, but GSam Battery Monitor doesn't seem to work well with this ROM.
Maybe I must reset battery stats. How can I do it?
It's necessary a battery calibration?
This is what I get on GSam...
As sikke says, Supercell games work great here on full screen.

My M9Pro is now very smooth, no reboots and the battery lasts much longer. I really feel as I have a new tablet
It's 3G version?

this night only 1% battery drain for 10h with the wifi off.
No lag
no hangs, no reboot

hidden ssid

Without the SSID, making an unauthorized connection just became much more difficult.
you might consider this article, but there are many others like it found by a web search,
in short, your router becomes hidden but your devices then go around broadcasting for it wherever you take them, which may defeat the intended purpose!

Vs: Pipo M9 Pro RileyROM 3.0

I would like someone to try this ROM using kernel #407 and see if it is an improvement over what's missing in this ROM.
Depending on how it works, I can port this M7 Pro ROM over to the M9 Pro...by porting, I mean simply changing the boot animation and model ID to M9 Pro.
I would like to start by saying thanks for your hard work.
This Pipo M9 Pro 3.0 rom is ONLY Pipo kitkat rom to any Pipo device thar has Supercell games working witout developer option disable HW overlay enabled. Someting is really fixed in this rom.
Do you have similar ROM for your Pipo M7 Pro with Clash of Clans & Haday working.
Thanks.

Flashed one hour ago with "kernel_M9Pro3_407_cpu1608-low_gpu600_ddr720" - everything looks good here.
Antutu shows 20100 pts. on two consecutive tests.
I think this is the most economical version of the kernel # 407 modded...in next days i'll see that.
Thank you, cshock2010.. btw, nice animation.

I just received a reboot, no special apps running...just regular ones in background.Last edited by Edius; 08 June 2014, 21:38.

M7pro RR3.2 + M9 pro OC kernel
M9pro wifi only
Rom: RR 3.2 M7pro
Kernel: https://www.dropbox.com/.../kernel_cpu1704-sv_gpu798h-sv...
-the oc kernel from RR2.5.2, with power saving feature.
-I'm using this since non of the current oc kernels worked for this unit
Setcpu @ 1704max, 312min, on demand.
Antutu scores:
1st: 19065, 2nd and 3rd barely made it to 19K.
Notes:
-Stable, no Sudden deaths, no hangs. No fc's
-Fps is at all time high on the third test. High score floats at 23-24fps, Lowest floats at 18-19 but barely stays at the low score. Most of the time its playing around 22-23fps.
-Lags at opening apps
-Browsing screenshots is laggy.
Somehow along my flashing ways, when charged, led charging indicator does not close, and I think it does not stop charging too. This was not like this before my flashing frenzy.
hope this helps in anything.
