#407 - "kernel_M9Pro3_407_cpu1608_gpu600_ddr720" - in my tablet now and recommended for you too.
I think this one you see with "with nothing marked" - RAM is clocked by default in our tablets at 300 MHz, this one has RAM clocked at 720 MHz, everything feels much snappier. CPU is at stock speed (1608 MHz ~ 1,6GHz) with stock voltage. GPU is at default speed - overclock will not improve anything here, Mali 400 has already been pushed to higher speed in factory.

With "kernel_M9Pro3_407_cpu1608_gpu600_ddr720" i have everything perfectly stable, no black screens, no reboots and gives me longer browsing time and less battery drain compared with #407stock kernel and "kernel_M9Pro3_407_cpu1704-low_gpu600_ddr720".

    L.E
If you flash one of the above mentioned kernel, do not forget to restart, go to Recovery and wipe Cache and Dalvik Cache (you'll find it under advanced wipe). This will force system to rebuild cache and optimize application already installed for new kernel.
I'm sorry to say that it's here a complete disaster. Battery drains faster than I can look. It drops 2% in about 5 minutes. The red line is for 3G, only problem is: I don't have a 3G model. Gps say it's on, but that is also off. I have the libril-rk29-dataonly file in it. Did all the things you said. Has enyone a suggestion?

That's what I thought by looking around inside this firmware....the same things are missing that we still need.

The official PiPO M9pro_update_andriod4.4_20140504.img and rk3188_1007_sdk4.4_pipo_20140504.img got the exact same md5 (A8767CF631557D88654A61A2ABD9940D)... it's exactly the same file, so dont bother fiddling around ^^

I've unpacked this new firmware download....but I have a hunch it's the very same firmware I used to make 3.0. I don't have an M9 Pro to flash, so I will leave it up to you guys to confirm if we gain anything, here.

I'll wait for guidance from you testers.

If it is, in fact, the same firmware...I won't make a new ROM with it...why should I?

If anyone has a chance to download and flash this firmware, I'm curious if this is the one with kernel 407 in it...or if it's an even newer kernel.

Is there anything else we need to report to Pipo?[/QUOTE]

Hi Randy, Just saw this on Facebook!

MediaFire is a simple to use free service that lets you put all your photos, documents, music, and video in a single place so you can access them anywhere and share them everywhere.

    Another new KitKat!

    Stock?

I am really not sure what is going on right now as I am still on stock Pipo rooted. Tablet has been on all day collecting emails, checking stuff on the internet and syncing files with BittorrentSync to my PC. 12 hours later and I am still on 78% which is miraculous! I have done nothing special, and mobile signal is still #2 batery user after the screen, but this is now looking more like a tablet I can use. I will see what happens overnight, but perhaps Pipo have done some magic to the Kernel 407?? VERY strange. It is stable, no crashes, no freezes deep sleep working as well as 1608 speed (and others in between) on CPU Spy, so I am happy, but curious!
Happy also to try a diffrent Kernel if it is expected to reduce idle battery drain even more

Don't worry PNman, there area few of us here over the fifty mark, including me! As I mentined to someone else, there are no manuals so we are all flying blind! The formum is here to help - we cannot expect Randy to answer everything

I really don't know, i have not seen an application who will show RAM frequency...suppose you'll have to dig in kernel itself to find out.

I'll bake a 1608-low voltage kernel for you to try and will post here later.
I'll be happy to try this.
In next kernel release, you could specify voltages applied to CPU/RAM?
    Thank you in advance.
