Just tested it on 2 boxes that I got from Geekbuying. Works great. Just one question/request. Is it possible to get the Status bar to auto hide? I know some roms have an option in the Settings. I've also tried to use the Full!Screen app but it just auto closes the program before I can even turn it on or activate it.

On first boot, launch the SuperSU app and choose to update the normal way

After it's updated, all your apps that require root will work, Full!Screen included

            Hi,

            I take is the is NOT a 1080 kernel? Just up-scaled 720?

I have quite an issue, that is rly annoying:

My MAC-Adress for eth0 is changing on every boot. That means - my dhcp ip reservation wont work / just works one time and yatse becomes useless... Is this a "feature"? Or a bug?

How can i fix this issue? It drives me crazy...
                Kind regards Snuffy

                  RK doesn't use static mac...
                  You can try to use:

"I had the same issue when reading MAC. But you should try to write MAC address. Select Manual checkbox in the top, below enter your static MAC address (format is without ":", e.g. "0800690201FC", NOT "08:00:69:02:01:FC") and press Write button. When MAC address is set you will be able to read it again without errors."

That RK doesnt have "static" MAC at all i can not confirm. My MK918 had static MAC adresses. And - as far as i know - theses boxes have a seperate LAN chip not managed and operated by the RK3188.

But i will try your suggested link. For know i have a "MAC-Adress" Changer app... but - i need to pick a real pc mouse, start it, change mac and than only i can use apps like droid mote, etc... and this IS annoying ^^

But the Q7, as I know, doesn't use a USB LAN Chip like e.g. ASIX (that is able to handle / has burn in static MAC) but using the 'PHYceiver LAN chip' like e.g. RTL8201F

(So I'm right that the RK doesn't use a static MAC and the 'PHYceiver LAN chip' isn't able to use it )

                        Yeah

Your link is my post in my native language - allright But it doesnt help with my problem... Or telling that you are right . It just tells how shitty the onboard LAN solution is on the mk918 board ^^. And i never enlived any "crazy changing" mac adresses on my mk918. God i miss it... it was way better produced than this q7.

Your second link helps to understand - and i ve learned something new about the rk device Have you got the tech specs in a pdf of the rk3188? Like it exist here for the rk3288? I'd like to read it..
                        Kind regards Snuffy

What do you think about using 'rk3188 datasheet pdf' as search phrase?

                              Hi Mononano,
I have the same problem like yours
I tried every pin On Nand chip and hoping on RKandroid tool display: "Found RKadroid MaskRom Rock Usb", but It is still showing " Found RKandroid Loader Rock usb".

My board printed XT-Q7-V10, 2013-12-05, the chip is printed: 1236, 29F64G08CRABA.
Would you tell me in detail how do you get the result: "
ot it the MaskRom mode, blue, then reflash"
                              Thank you very much

I have no problems using Androtab's generic CWM with my Q7 box. I've used it with lewy20041's ROM and also the latest KitKat 4.4.2 stock ROM and it works great.

To install it I use AndroidTool v2.1. First I dump the parameter file of the currently installed ROM, then load that parameter file. Then load the recovery.img from RK30GENERIC_CWM.zip and flash only the recovery partition.

It only takes about 1 second to complete and has worked like a charm thus far. There is also a bit of a guide on installing CWM for RK3188 here:

                                I hope this helps
