And - for all that have the same issue - I found a rather easy and perfectly working solution:

To install it I use AndroidTool v2.1. First I dump the parameter file of the currently installed ROM, then load that parameter file. Then load the recovery.img from RK30GENERIC_CWM.zip and flash only the recovery partition.
It only takes about 1 second to complete and has worked like a charm thus far. There is also a bit of a guide on installing CWM for RK3188 here:
I hope this helps
when you say dump the parameter files im little unsure what you mean how do i dump the parameter files?
iv got an older Q7 which had 4.2.2 on it and was able to flash Veclinux rom on to it and now just got myself another Q7 from same seller now it has 4.4.2 on it and it won't let me flash the Veclinux rom on it im gutted i love this rom its so quick and looks great.
again thanks for the help and anymore help thats offered.

Hi,
i've read the whole post you mentioned. Well - my experience told me ->
Just take the Rockchip Batch Tool, Flash a ROM which consist only of one file (like all stock roms do).
It will "lowerformat Device start" - which means NAND is erased -reboots the device into Flash mode and flashes all neccessary files.
Still I am pretty sure that you do not need to use the rockchip Flash tool to prepare your device for flashing a lower Android Version.
But well - if there are some devices which Need this - i won't be the guy who says that this is crap :P

I also think, if you use rkbatchtool for hole image in one file, you don't need to do the separate steps to erase the nand(idb) with the correct bootloader like at rkandroidtools...RK3288 Devices

Q7 kernel for Linux
Hi veclinux,
I have a small request for you.
Could you build a kernel for the Q7 that boots the rfs off the linuxroot partition on the sdcard? I would like to try running Arch Linux on this machine - but my attempts at compiling the kernel are failing with a black screen.
Also, could you specify what git you're using for the kernel, the toolchain details etc - so I can try compiling a custom kernel too. Your .config file would also help.
Though I'm sure you know about the kernel requirements for booting linux, I'm trying to boot off the SD card with a single partition labelled linuxroot. More details are here - http://linux-rockchip.info/mw/index....=Linux_on_NAND.
I aim to run Archlinux off the NAND eventually - so any pointers towards that would help too.
Thanks.

Thanks very much for the rom. Flashed a month ago and works well.
One question though, how do I get rid of the default 2G partition ang use all 8G for apps. Now it is already out of space with only couple of apps installed.
BTW, looks there is no way to adjust the screen brightness unless using some app, right?
Thanks agian for the rom.
