[SOLVED!] Tronsmart Vega S89 Elite - No HDMI output

    Hi,

Just received today my Vega S89 Elite.
Unboxed it, plugged it to a PC monitor HDMI and it says that there is no signal!

Then I connected the Vega S89 to a (recently new) tv... Again no signal.

Replaced the HDMI cable with components cable and I got a "normal" image.

I'll try to upgrade to the latest FW but I guess I received a faulty device...
Anyone that can give me a hint?

Edit: Tried on another TV and using the AV cable I now have a "normal" image.

I just fixed my HDMI problem!
I noticed that when forcing the connector against the pcb, it would start working.

    The soldering is the issue.
Lucky me I have some soldering skills/tools.

I just spread a little soldering flux on the connector pins and re-soldered the connector.

    Working good now!

      Good News

Flux and reheat the pins with soldering iron ?

Yes... that's all I did. Also added a tiny bit of solder to the iron tip to spread on the connector pins.
Just be careful not to cause any shorts between those tiny pins.

I haven't got any problem so far (touch wood ) but very tiny details causing big problems ... Bad-Cold Soldering etc.
They need to pay more attention but quality comes with price i.e minix...
