Pipo M9 Pro RileyROM 3.1 KitKat

CAUTION: This IS a KitKat ROM...so do your homework on flashing KitKat ROM's before you get started.

The 3.0 ROM was based on beta firmware I received from Pipo. This ROM was dated the same as that beta version, so I assumed it was the same, however some users discovered that it contains an updated kernel. Therefore, I decided to make a new ROM with the Official Pipo Release dated 5/4/14 on their download site.

Except for the newer kernel, I have no clue as to what is different in the ROM...they both looked the same to me.

This ROM has all of the usual RileyROM features:

    Rooted
    Debloated
    Init.d support with Busybox commands
    English Default
    Google Play Store fixes
    Updated Google Apps
2, 4, 6, 8 or 12gb user app space by selecting the desired parameter file
Auto Install feature added for installing apk files on first boot from external SD
TWRP recovery installed on first boot by Abdul_Pt
    Reboot app by Petrus
    New boot animation by me
Latest revision of the First Time User's Guide
    Flash Tool by Finless
All made with a variation of 900SuperSport's Freaktab Kitchen

Please verify that you actually flashed the 3.1 ROM...it can be confusing to know for sure sometimes...it happens to me all the time.

Since I don't actually have an M9 Pro tablet, I'm having to take people's word as fact.

I have no way of checking that information myself, since I don't own an M9 Pro.

So, aside from the ROM issued by Arctablet...does anyone have a 407 kernel? And, which firmware did it come from?

I've done a bunch of work, here, based on the information I'm provided by you guys....so please be as accurate as possible on your posts. I just want to know, so we can get the kernel guys to cook patched kernels with the 406 AND 407 kernels for you to mix and match the best kernel/ROM combination for your particular needs.

      I sure hope I didn't make v3.0 twice........

I flashed the 3.1, everything went correct. I, too, it shows me #406 and not #407, see the sreenshot above.

I also had a reboot, hope it's the last one.

Edit : It still reboots :/

I put a link to the 407 kernel on the 3.0 thread.

I think I will close this thread, since the two ROMs are the same.

          Does that make sense?

Due to the fact that we've discovered that v3.1 is identical to v3.0, I'm closing this thread.

You can keep whichever version you have flashed on your tablet, but all discussion will take place on the 3.0 thread.
