MK808B crashing

I have been using MK808B with Finless 1.7 ROM with out any problems for the last 6 months. However, since yesterday, the device was not starting- not loading android and giving a blank screen. I have tried to reflash the ROM and it is still behaving strangely. Sometimes it gets stuck on the loading graphic. Other times it gets to the main screen and then crashes. I flashed Prahjister ROM 1.1 and sometimes it would boot but only work on wifi. When I connect ethernet cable it will detect it sometimes but then crash. Could this be a hardware issue ? My TV is 720P.

You could try to change your power supply. The ones that are shipped with most of these devices are really bad and get worse over time.

Your diagnosis turned out to be spot on !

I had been using MK808B powered through USB port on my DVR. Two days back the DVR was changed to multi room one and the problem started. Obviously, the power output from the two DVRs is different.

I now have the device powered by a 2 amp, 5V adapter and is behaving !
