So far I am satisfied, except for Netflix, it still has a horrible picture. Next, I am going to try my Logitech C310 webcam.
    Hi,
Have your problem be solved? If not you can send the PM to geekbuying. Eric there will help you.

Thanks for your kind offer, but the box is fine. I am waiting for finless and the other devs to fine tune the ROM. If Netflix played better, I would be a little happier.

some apps do not implement a landscape mode, this is the way the device handle this situation. I also feel odd when first playing with this device. Some other device just simply render a portrait app in a landscape screen. Most apps are ok , which is handled by the android sdk's layout manager. Some apps are handled badly (depends on how the developer layout the screen) which the lower half is cropped or whole screen is squeezed vertically... etc. I think there is no single and simple way to handle this problem. But I guess an option in Setting for switching between two ways of handling is good ...

Grateful if some development efforts were applied to this issue.
          Hi
Yes, I think you are right.
The CS918 with Wasser/Lewy roms have USB audio available in the audio devices settings.

          Mark.

When I look at SpeedTest.net on my CS918, the interface is different from seeing it on the s89. S89 just puts a small vertical screen in the middle of the monitor. CS918 takes up most the screen with the interface, seems to be a different app almost. I have seen a lot of apps when I first open them, being small vertical shrunken down screens, and then pop out to a horizontal interface. Odd... I -think- that this only happens the first time, that after I open it a second time it does not first open this small vertical display.

I am running the latest stock rom 104k4, and these are some of the things I am finding:
              ......
7/ no way to shut down/standby... (EDIT GRRRR!!!)
...... I would be returning it tomorrow morning... so I am really disappointed.

              8) the awful sound when you click buttons on the remote control which is included with Tronsmart s89. It is so loud that you can wake up the dead. This remote can be used as the means to torture people - click to death

i used this method to get rid of the silly teardrop noise on my galaxy SIII:
my tronsmart is currently in shipping status, so i can't test!!

PS: I',m not responsible for bricking your tronsmart, but this should work:

you have to have rooted your unit, & make sure you have ticked 'rw' in root access,
using esfile explorer, navigate to root directory, then system/media/audio/ui and the file is called tw_touch.ogg, rename it to something you will remember and then restart device. ( i used a mp3 to ogg converter and put a new sound in it's place with my galaxy )

                goodluck, addy
Sent from my Commodore 64 using Geos
                My devices:
Tronsmart Vega S89-H: running stock 104k4 rom, rooted & racky's cpu fix.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1: running KK's dual boot kernel, Phil's touch recovery & de-bloated, over-clocked and rooted stock rom.
Samsung Galaxy S3: stock until warrany is over lol running JB 4.3 ...
HTC Incredible S: Venom rom, 'kangaroo' kernel, overclocked to 2Ghz & still kicking the Sammy's butt!

I meant the noise that make remote control buttons itself then you click them, not the Android OS sounds.

Yes, you mean the noisy Hardware. Its not a “klick“, its a “KLACKKKKK“ when you press a button. But hey, thats what quality feels like.

I use a Logitech harmony now, but have ordered the tronsmart tsm01 air mouse too. Buttons only are anoying on some Android apps. I hope its not as noisy as the standard remote.
