So I've been playing around with a couple of Android boxes for the past few months and starting to get to grips with them. One thing I really struggle with is optimising my sound quality.
I am looking for some advice from someone who knows about these things who could point me in the direction that I should have everything running.
My set up is:
1 x Toshiba LCD TV, speaker output is quite poor (buzzes at loud or bass-heavy moments).
1 x Samsung sound bar with sub-woofer, sound is good but constant hissing when volume is high.
1 x Ugoos UT2, has HDMI cable which can transfer sound to TV, OR 3.5mm aux socket that can output sound straight to soundbar.
So, I know this is only 3 components but there are multiple combinations:
- Should I play sound directly from my Android box to my soundbar to avoid the TV speakers?
- Should I have sound directly to soundbar but also playing through TV speakers through HDMI simultaneously?
- Should volume be max on android player at all times and adjust only on soundbar or vice versa?
I know these are basic questions, and the obvious answer is to play around and see which sounds better to me but the truth is I have a bad ear for these things. I want to ensure I'm hearing music/movies in the best quality possible, so are there general rules for these types of set ups?
Any advice or help at all is very musc appreciated.
Thanks
