newbie question: S89 and live tv

    Hey,

tried searching the forum, didnt find much.
I've ordered the S89-H - my first android non-phone device.

what's the best / typical setup to use it for live tv (DVB-T)?
I guess XBMC + some addons?
what kind of TV tuner hardware is the best for that?
would i be able to have PVR functionality aswell?

    many thanks!

ok, starting to answer my own question:

    - any basic TV tuner card should work (as long as it's USB and has linux support)
    - need to compile the needed kernel modules (for dvb + hardware specific). i guess there isnt much included in the ROM (or hardcoded in the kernel ...)
    - need to compile tvheadend for arm
    - need to use tvheadend addon for xbmc

i'll update this once i have any real results

Not a real update on my side, but maybe useful for somebody who has kernel source for S89:
Hello everybody I´m actually starting porting of the linux software “tvheadend“ to work on Android. My first step was to show the "Sources" and show how to get all of them compatible with "Android". Here the "official Sources"...
