It 'a new product? What do you think about it, any news?
It seems to be still cheaper than Beelink M8 / M8 Tronsmart S89 and square M8 one.
The name seems to be CSM8, no info found on web.

Specs by seller:

• 2GB ram
• 16GB flash
• External antenna (seems to have wifi 2.4 + 5 GHz)
• Android 4.4 Kikat

The only deficiency is the digital audio port absent

I bought this few days back. Plays most formats except the ones I wanted it to, like .265, .hevc for my 4K tv. What's the point of hyping it as a 4k player when it fails to play these formats ? I've tried custom roms like finless 2.0 which works on this as well except for remote control but still fails to play the 4k sample files i have.

Anyone knows if i need to install some codecs or something?

The S802 doesn't support H.265 (HVEC)... only S805 and S812 http://www.amlogic.com/product03.htm

Thanks for your help however if you see the box cover https://www.dropbox.com/s/80ncxyetfl...22.54.jpg?dl=0 it shows that it supports hevc/.265. As you said it can be 1080p as well however this box is touted to be 4K player, non 4k are half the price nowadays so there must be something missing or they just cheated me.
