MK802IV Old Wifi kernel question and recovery solution

this is my first post so don't judge me

i am not pro like u guys but i have some experience with flashing things and as i remember everytime i flashed any custom kernel on my other devices, in the settings kernel name was changing. but yesterday when i flashed frameskip fixing kernel, name stayed the same. is that normal? rkbatchtool says that kernel is flashed ok but i don't see any difference in video playback and the name of the kernel stays the same.

i have rikomagic 802IV with old wifi and stock rom from their official website.


and one more thing, if anyone having problem with reset button and otg connect combination it's not your fault, after flashing official stock rom from their website, the reset combination becomes more complicated (1 step is added)

1) connect your rikomagic to TV (step that you need to add)
2) push reset button and hold
3) connect OTG

then you have recovery mode

I think the name listed in the about device settings is from build.prop and is not in kernel, so if you flash new kernel, build.prop stays the same.
