I guess what he meant is that the home button does not work, and i can confirm that.
Also, 1080p video does not play smoothly but 720p do, in 1080p output. In 720p output, 1080p videos are "watchable" when using Archos video player.

But i suggest these video problems are related to how bad this "dongl" was programmed by PiPO itself, but i'm no tech expert so...

The good thing about these TV players is that you can try different ROMs from other devices. I'm not sure which ones to try, though. Our TV player developers do much better work than I do in solving those problems.

The home button problem is usually caused by removing an app that is required. I may have debloated too much.

Just be sure to use the kernel from this ROM if you decide to switch ROMs.

I downloaded the RK Factory Tool 4.4 and uploaded the "factory" rom to it so I could make changes to the build.prop, boot animation, and preinstalled apks (remove and add). What is your method for debloating? Do you have a list of junk that is common to each of these, and can you share it?

Also, one of the apps I preinstalled was superuser. When I loaded the firmware with this installed as a system app, the stick tells me it is rooted. Is it that simple? Is there something else I need to do to make sure it's rooted properly in JB?

On JB it is that simple.

On KK, you must run su as daemon...so you have to edit init.rc in the boot.img.

I have a list of certain apps I remove...like the Chinese keyboard and any extra apps that aren't necessary for the system to run. Most of those apps...or similar apps are available on Google Play Store.

Just remember to cut and paste the apps out of the system instead of just deleting...so there aren't any leftover files.

One more question. Can I uninstall the browser or other "critical" system apps? And if I remove the default keyboard and replace it with another one, like "null input method," would that break everything?

Sometimes strange things happen across other apps if you remove too much. Just be careful. You can always revert back to stock if something goes wrong.

Sometimes strange things like navigation buttons or other things just quit working if too much is debloated. That's why I leave them alone.

So far, so good. There were about eight icons in the app drawer when I was finished. No stock keyboard, no junk voice search apps, no phone apps, contacts, email, all on the cutting room floor. And everything I want to work is working. Probably could cut more, but I'm happy where it is. Only problem was having to install all my apps, and not having them pre-installed.

Good job. That's the main benefit of rooting. You can make your own changes.

Pipo X2 Not enter to Flash Mode

Hi, i need support to enter a Flash Mode my Pipo x2 device. I not problems with PIpo U8 or M7Pro Tablets but the X2 its imposible to connect, your aplication and other alternative (original) not connect.

I use Windows 7 32 bits and I install the Drivers correctly but not connect.

The version of RockChip Driver instaled as a v3.7 ,the old versions are error in Windows System Panel.

I Need change the Rom but the Youtube aplication no work correctly the vídeos, lag and asincron in image and sound. I test old versions the youtube app but not solution the problem.
My only problem is in youtube videos, other apps work vídeo in streem correctly.

Without looking at the port and button configuration I can't tell you, exactly.

The drivers are all the same for RK devices. If it works on your tablets, it should work on your X2. Make sure you are using the correct USB port.

But ... The youtube app no works correctly in 720 hd videos.... The image and sound run assincroned.
I dont understad but my other smartTv Mygica have a low hardware and youtube videos work in 1080hd fullscreen without problems, and the Android version is the same, 4.4.2

???
