    How to fix full cache on XBMC

    Hi everybody,

    I am playing with an android tv box Allwiner (A20 and A31s), I encounter an fulk cache issue when watching movie (online) on XBMC.

    I also tried to fix it by some guideline, but it just works on rockchip such as minix neo X7, X7mini. I cannot find out the root cause. Perhaps it just occurs with Allwiner chipset?

    Please help me clarify the problem and how to fix them.

    Thank you all so much,
    ITVPLUS

    Hi,
    I dont have any exp. with a20..
    But do have some a31s units...

    Try this version of xbmc
    BINGOTOGEL adalah situs judi togel sydney terbaik dan terpercaya dengan banyak varian pasaran yang memastikan kemenangan maksimal untuk pecinta togel

    Then make a 'advancedsettings.xml' as stated here

    It should work..

    Small notes..
    (With libstage only enabled) After 'first' run Spmc might crash after playing a video..hit power-off, then power-up again
    Xbmc v13, this one does the same.. but after power-up it requests 'root' access (it probably needs it)
    Ones in a whille, i emty the cache..see: settings/storage/click on 'cache'

    Anyway.. goodluck

      I almost forgot..
      alternative solutions..

      I hear Vidon.Me a special build of xbmc.. works well on A10 and A20 units
      -I tried it a few times on my A31s units..It never worked..but you might get lucky

          If you put this:

          Code:
          <advancedsettings>
            <network>
          	<cachemembuffersize>0</cachemembuffersize>
                  <readbufferfactor>10.0</readbufferfactor>
            </network>
          </advancedsettings>
          into a file called "advancedsettings.xml" and save it in your userdata folder which is located here (depending on your operating system) it will fix your cache issues. When the <cachemembuffersize> tag is set to 0 it allows XBMC to cache on your local drive instead of in your RAM, which puts no limit on the size outside of your available drive space. Also, cache is cleared immediately after playback stops.

          Optionally, the <readbufferfactor> tag can be set to any number and it will allow XBMC to use as much bandwidth as it needs and can cache far ahead of playback rather than just what it needs. Set this to 1 if you plan to use your internet and XBMC at the same time.

          Android (see note) Android/data/org.xbmc.xbmc/files/.xbmc/userdata/
          iOS /private/var/mobile/Library/Preferences/XBMC/userdata/
          Linux ~/.xbmc/userdata/
          Mac OS X /Users/<your_user_name>/Library/Application Support/XBMC/userdata/
          OpenELEC /storage/.xbmc/userdata/
          Windows XP, 7, 8 %appdata%\XBMC\userdata\

            Indeed.. a good question
            And why not a warning that you need root.. to make xbmc v13 run properly
            And
            What-up with the commen cache failed to load nag.. did it ever work
            And
            With xbmc nightly for windows.. why not at the wlan dll it needs to run..
            And why
            Do all the addon need to update..when i get home and touch the mouse?
            -i never shutdown my units.. and xbmc allways run ( fore or back ground)

            Bah..annoying

              Hi,

              Note, The path... To place the advs.xml file is different when using XBeyond and SPMC
              -
              Android/data/ (version dependent) /files/.xbmc/userdata/
              Yes, I still enjoy my cs918s daily..

                  I don't see the "advancedsettings.xml" folder where you indicated. BTW, I'm using a cloudnetgo cr11s android box. Shall I create the sub-folder in the userdata folder myself or just a .xml file? Thanks

                    There is no advancedsettings.xml folder, the advancedsettings.xml is a file that you create (as stated above) and place the FILE into the "userdata" folder at the path indicated
