Well, I can't reproduce the issue since I don't have the same device. But if stock works, I can't see why this ROM wouldn't.

Try doing a factory reset in TWRP (Wipe - factory reset) and see if that helps.

I wonder if anyone else have this problem...

for the first run, IMHO, it took a while for it to properly boot. just wait it, i ussually get less than 5 minute, but sometime more.

I did exacly as you said i manage to boot directly into recovery (TWRP).
And from there I choose reboot => system, but then still, I'm stuck at "Smart Box" logo.
Any idea what should I try next?

I flashed it with RKBatchtool => restored, just like any other flash method.
I tried the "Normal" htc_t018_public_MTK_CSQ_4.4.2_20140504 on my MK809iii, strangely it boot up and work just fine. But yeah it not rooted yet. That's why I'm trying to flash it with your version.

just slight mod based on htc_t018_public_MTK_CSQ_4.4.2_20140504

Changes

• rooted with SuperSU (thanks Chainfire)
• init.d support
• TWRP 2.7.0.0 as recovery (thanks Abdul_pt). boot-up with reset button pressed to boot directly into TWRP
• removed some apps, including BeyondXBMC and some google apps
• YouTube for google tv 1.7.5 (you can still install standard youtube app from the playstore)

Instruction (do this on your own risk)

• Flash as usual using RKBatchtool

may directly goes to TWRP on first boot, just select reboot to system
(factory reset is always recomended)

Haven't seen kernel source for MTK CS968..
I don't know yet.

Apparently we do have source code available. I'll start learning on kernels.

if someone with AP6210 willing to test, here's the patch to fix WIFI and bluetooth

AP6210 ONLY

copy the patch to internal/external storage, and flash with TWRP

note: files taken from cr11 firmware, so you might see cloudnetgo logo on boot. (i'm lazy)
