Re: What's New with Pipo for Summer 2014?

My m6pro continues to work very well. They do a good job with hardware, but I don't think I would buy another pipo product either.

The only reason my tab works as well as it does is the magic of Riley and giouncino. And in the case of the m6pro, they had to work with a beta release that pipo never bothered to finish.

I don't know much about the company behind pipo, but it appears they have a very small development staff, and their management focuses those resources entirely on selling new products, with no concern for support.

I would hate to think what would happen if something similar to the Heartbleed bug were to come out in the future, that required the vendor to patch it. I have zero confidence that pipo would provide that support.

Most people can't afford to buy a new tablet every time they want (or need) to get upgraded firmware, myself included.

I will probably head back to a company with a little better track record of supporting their products.
