Browse USB HDD connected to Tronsmart Vega S89-H from a Mac

Hi there, I have a Tronsmart Vega S89-H which arrived a couple of days ago. I am really happy with it & it looks like an awesome device. I came from a WDTV Live Streaming media player which was much more basic.

However on the WDTV device I could see it on my macbook as a shared device. With the Tronsmart Vega S89-H I cannot see it at all. I used to be able to drag & drop files with the WDTV but for the moment this is not possible.

I did a scan of my network & got the IP address of the
Tronsmart Vega S89-H but I still cant seem how to browse it like my previous unit.

Can anyone tell me how I can do this? I did some searches & didnt find an answer but please excuse me if it has been asked & answered before.

Unfortunately it did not work but it did give me some info. It stated that Mac & Android clients can also connect directly to smb://192.168.0.15. Mind you that hasnt worked for the moment. I am sure that someone will be able to help me with this though

Im still looking for a solution to this can anyone help me? I thought that this would be really easy to do. I still cant believe that I cant see the Tronsmart from my Mac. With my WDTV live streaming it showed up as a shared device.

Be aware that OSX Mavericks is using SMB2. Loads of People have issues and had to use a work round
A workaround is to force OS X to use the old SMB1 (also known as SMB/CIFS). To do that, instead of mounting the server using the Finder, use the Connect to Server command in the Finder's Go menu. Then type in the following:
cifs://server_address (using the IP address or network name of the server)Using smb://server_address won't work, as this will use SMB2 to access the device.
