Pipo M8 pro intermittent blank/disconnect on HDMI

    Hi,
my tablet is connected to the TV with a HDMI cable. Sporadically the signal on the tv will be "lost" resulting in a black screen for a second and then coming back while displaying the resolution on the left upper corner of the tv screen.
This can happen once every 5 minutes but also 2 - 3 times only with a few seconds interval.
Nothing is installed on the tablet, just the Rilley ROM, that's it. I tried 1.7, 2.0a, 2.1 etc and all the same problem. Also when I install Netflix and Hulu then when playing video I have this problem.
Also, I connect my tablet while just on the home screen and this same problem exists.
As you can imagine, this is very annoying while watching a movie.
I have a second M8 pro tablet and there I do not have the problem, at least not with RilleyROM 2.0a. I had a similar problem when installing RR ROM 2.1 but only once every 20 minutes or so. No that I'm running on 2.0a I do not have that problem anymore on the second M8.
Does anyone experienced the same problem and did you find a solution for that??
    Cheers

That problem has been reported several times.

The solution is to use a different HDMI cable.

You may notice that the micro USB cable that comes with the tablet has a longer connector...in order to reach further into the case to make a good connection. The same thing applies to HDMI cables. You need a good connection into the tablet...and the problem should be solved.

I'm well aware off this plug problem and I also cut about 1 mm of plastic, even though it was not really needed as I checked and the plastic of the plug didn't touch the tablet case anywhere.
Also, when I use my other M8 pro tablet, I don't have that problem (with the same cable/Tv)
      Cheers

That's just the first thing that came to mind as a possible solution...a very common solution.

Hmmm, two identical tablets and one works but the other doesn't...must point to a hardware problem/difference, I'm afraid. Unless there is a difference in firmware or installed apps.

          SOLVED

So, this problem is solved. Strangely enough, when I increase the resolution to 1920x1080 then I do not have that problem anymore. I expected that increasing the resolution would make it worse and the cable/connector would become a bigger issue but it seems not. I do use rRom 2.0a
          Cheers
