You didn't mention installing the drivers in Windows nor even which version of Windows you are trying to use which is the most important part

I am trying to install the drives on Win7, it comes up after the installation process and says that the drivers have been installed, but when I connect the device via USB to the computer it doesn't recognize it

not over USB 3.0! It connects only over USB 2.0 Slot on the computer.

Then if the drivers installed properly... I'd guess that you aren't holding the flash button in when you are powering it on ( ie plugging in the power )

You can also verify your drivers are installed properly by using the driver tool Minix has on their website... when you run it.. have it uninstall the current drivers then have it re-install them. Try the other suggestion first since you may have the drivers installed right already... this is just a fall back suggestion/idea

I managed to get it sorted, was just a matter of timing to get it in bootloader correctly. Won't be trying it after a 16 hour shift in future
