    Newest XBMC for Minix NEO X8-H True 4K,1080P Video Hardware Decoding in XBMC


    Minix just send me this XBMC version to test, I have been told the 4K and 1080p video playback is fully supported in XBMC hardware decoding.

    I have tried this new xbmc version in the neo x8-h, here is the difference compare with the old built-in xbmc version:

    If you use the old built-in xbmc version,i set the TV resolution to 4K, and set the resolution on NEO X8-H to 4K SMPTE, and then open the XBMC, play the 4k demo video, i get this on my tv:



    and then i uninstall the old XBMC and install the new version xbmc, do the same settings, and here is the same video in XBMC, i get this:



    so now you can see the difference, the new xbmc apk really solve the problems!! Good Job! Minix.

          Pretty sure it won't. MINIX XBMC versions usually have a ROM lock so you can't use them anywhere else.

              The correct resolution should be set to 4K@30Hz , SMPTE is uncommon.

                  No ... and I think also not at a vm ... because it's seams so that it only work at minix's android (at the moment)...
