As you may have read Bob is officially winding up his work on the Arnova 10G2, he really has turned this around from something that was an "ok but could have been done better product" to something that is now more useful than we could have imagined and still has plenty of life in it yet. Personally I started using the Finless Roms from 1.3 or was it 1.4 onwards and thanked Bob for every new release or update as you gotta give the man Kudos for what he does or what's the point of him doing it!
After all even with some of us making donations to help with the work its obvious Bob doesnt do it for the money or fame . I will at some point be upgrading mine for a new tablet but haven't yet decided when or what tablet (possibly the 97 carbon?) but when I do my other half has already called dibs on my 10G2 as it does everything she wants, she may have to wait though as its still way too useful and goes everywhere with me.

So Bob and those that helped along the way in any part, just in case my next tablet doesn't see/need the Finless touch I want to thank you one last time for all the effort on the roms, the hosting and the support.

Bob, you are a legend sir!

Thanks guys.... It's a lot of fun for me to do this stuff. I learned a lot since I got my first Android device in later Novemeber (10G2 is all I still have). While I maybe done with the 10G2 it's only because I cant think of anything else to do to it to make it better? But trust that if something comes up I will still update it! The 10G2 is not going anywhere. It's a keeper for me

My desire now is to work on other ROM architectures not just Rockchip. I would like to get an ALL Winner based tablet and learn that. And now I have a new RK3066 tablet coming thanks to the donations from all of you! I can't thank you all enough! The new stuff coming out of China is looking real good with good prices!

I see the Arnova 10b G3 is here in the states now at $219. But after seeing whats available now outside the US, it doesnt make sense to spend that when you can get this for almost the same price!

hopelly there are hardware buttons that support too go too the recovery menu. like the arnova tablets(sound + and power)
my yarvik don't has that.
so the only option to go to recovery was novotools 7.
but what if the tablet totally messed up and no startup.
than the only option is flashing with livesuit. fresh install.
or maybe you find something hahahaha

This tablet is rockchip not Allwinner so should be okay and has hard buttons for flash

Hey everyone,I would once again personally like to thank Bob,Damo, and anyone else who helped me here on this site.I was a complete noob when I got my arnova for Xmas,looked around different sites trying to find info and learn. When I found this one it was a Godsend. Bob always answered my stupid questions along with Damo. My tablet had a issue Bob as always came to the rescue . I'm very greatful for everything.glad I could help ya get a new tab Bob I like the looks of it I'll most likely get one also I've been looking for one. Just to have some ics . Anyway. Snakekiller, there are "touch screen" ClockWork recoveries for tablets with no buttons! I use one on the 7b G2 because it has no buttons. If I had a ALL Winner tablet I bet I could port a touch screen version for you

in a way im sad ): i just started back on this website and i got a few flashes thanx to the all mighty finless aka Bob, and now he doesnt know what else to improve upon. i fully agree though cause it is really great and way better than it was before im sooo greatful for all you have done!!!! if you need any more ideas like

getting bluetooth, 3G sticks, usb tethering, etc to work (:

I have bluetooth and usb modules. Problem is not enough people to help test!

For BT you need a certain BT stick. No one seems to have one. For 3G I need someone with good knowledge of ADB and logcat. When Mr Wheelson lost his 10 G2, that was kind of it for anyone capable of helping get 3G working.

I loved the tab until i got the galaxy then lost interest as the phone done more faster. I was going to sell it but decided to try your rom, it has breathed a new lease of life in the the old girl, i love it again.

I agree. My son said the stock 10 G2 was a POS until Bob made it SMOKING FAST. Night and day difference!!

Unfortunately the 10 G2 died. I hope the N101 will be better, looking forward to Bob's first ROM.
