mk 802iv linux problems

As I am a noob here, i'm sure this is in the wrong place. apologies.

I'm getting kinda frustrated. I failed installing linux on the MK 802iv. (i think.)
I did the NAND version, followed the instructions, and boom. nothing. all I get is a terminal when it boots.
I've tried throwing different commands at it with different parameters and arguments, tried start x, tried a bunch of crap.

at this point I just want to start over. I can't seem to find a tutorial to get it back to android though, and without android on it, windows doesn't recognize it at all.

would really appreciate help, just need to know what other info to provide if more is needed.

Does the Mk802 have a recovery mode? Check the instruction manual. On the mk808 there is a small button you can hold down while connecting to the computer to boot into recovery --- maybe the 802iv has something similar.
