    Problem with the flash-mode

    hi there
    i just wanted to flash the new finless 1.9 on my x7 (i´m on 1.8 right now), but i have troubles with the flas mode. when i press the tiny button on the back, and then the power-button, my pc did not reconize the minix. the x7 just boot into the recovery...
    i tried to hold the recovery-button the whole time -> recovery
    i let go the recovery-button -> recovery

    so the question is:
    where is my fault? why wont go my x7 into flash mode? is there something i forgot?

    thx in adv

    Is it connected with USB 2.0 or 3.0 (pc)? Only with USB 2.0 it is working.

        And - the last - not working with Windows 8. Only Win 7 or older Win.

          it´s a 2.0 usb, and the drivers are installed (i used the same pc and the same usb for flashing the 1.8)...

                ok. i think i found the souce of trouble.
                as it seems, the housing at the usb-otg-port is a little to thick. i opend the case and put the board out. pluged in the usb-cable, pressed both buttons. now everything working fine...

                thanks anyways for your fast and friendly help!

                  ah, ok. Take a sharp knife and make the housing a little bit smaller or the hole in case a bit bigger. I think the first idea is better. ;-) No probleme for helping. You can find something more at my blog http://www.minix7.wordpress.org Have a nice time.
