    Pipo M7T RileyROM 1.3 KitKat

This is the first official Pipo KitKat release for the M7T tablet. This ROM is based on Pipo firmware dated 6/6/2014.

If you own an M7 Pro, do not flash this ROM.

As with every KitKat ROM, I advise you to study the sticky threads in the main Pipo Forum about the risks and steps involved...that information is also included in the First Time User's Guide. If you decide you don't like this ROM and want to switch back to Jellybean, be sure you read the thread on switching back to Jellybean from KitKat.

    This ROM is:

    Rooted
    Debloated
    Google Play Store fixes added
    Init.d/Busybox support
    1, 2, 4, 6, 8 or 12gb user app space (4gb default)
TWRP recovery installed after first boot
Autoinstall feature (which can automatically install apk's from the "autoinstall" folder on your external SD)
    Reboot app by Petrus
    Flash Tool by Finless
    TWRP Recovery by Abdul_Pt
    New boot animation by me

    Enjoy!!!!

    Thank you so much Randy!
Flashed and so far just a few problems found. From very fist start I'm getting error - "exchange service stop working" . Don't know what can cause this one. Also interface not smooth anymore like on JB with and without HW acceleration in dev. options. Before Nova launcher gives me very smooth transitions but now no. It's not very critical since 3G and WiFi now is much faster and no more freezes for a minutes on apps lunching. If anything you could do to fix this it would be great.
Thank you for your great job anyway!

The exchange server problem is common to these newer KK versions from Pipo. I have reported it to them.

Randy what do you think could couse poor graphics performance, sluggish interface? I tried few 3D games and all of them end up with hot reboot just in a minute. Is it undervolted GPU or CPU? Can you recomend some tweaks app to play with?

          Hi ,

in another part of the forum you mentioned that the M7t is tablet with a ''locked'' chip - is that true as it wasn't sold to me as that?

Is there any easy way for me to find out?

          Many thanks

          Keith

M7T Not Starting Up After Upgrade

              Hi.
I'm a newbie, and not too inclined with using of computer softwares. I use a PIPO M7T. I Upgraded it to the 4.2 Version released in April using the 'Renaming' of firmware to update.img, and it worked. this was used when I couldnt successfully use the Rockchip Batchtool to upgrade it.
now,KitKat version came up and I used same method. the upgrade was successful, but the tablet refused to come up. it has not powered on since then and wont be notified via my system upon USB connection.
Please help. What do I do?

That was an assumption on my part based on developments in the TV Stick threads. Pipo produced a 3188T chip that was likely from a production run that showed decreased performance at the 1.6ghz clockspeed. These chips were locked at 1.4ghz. Many of the TV Stick factories picked up some of these chips and produced some "Cheap" knockoffs of their products...which definitely hurt some reputations.

Since we didn't get an explanation from Pipo as to what the "T" designation stood for for a while, many people thought that it contained the dreaded RK3188T chip.

Clarification from Pipo revealed that the "T" stands for "Talk"...not that it contains a "T" chip, what we previously thought.

                    v1.4 has arrived

I've created v1.4 based on the new firmware listed above. Here's the new thread:
