MAC Addresses and apps stating No Network connection when using ethernet
MAC Addresses and apps stating No Network connection when using ethernet
Hi all,
I have 3 Beelink M8 on the same network, but am having issues as they all have the same MAC address - does anyone know of a way of permanently editing/changing the MAC please?
Also, with apps, such as BBC iPlayer, they state "No Network Connection" when using Ethernet (wifi isn't an option for me)
Does anyone know a way to spoof things, so the apps think they're connected?
thanks! J
The original thread
i made an app with tasker app factory that enables ethernet
i looked every where xda/google and did not find any thing.
so i made one i hope you all like it, this is the first app i made so it may have bugs.
it should work on...
Good luck.. and pls report back
I will give this a try tomorrow - thanks for the reply and pointer.No-one have any ideas regarding the MAC?
I know there is a driver problem in linux providing a default mac adress in some cases. This also happens using usb ethernet adapters on rk3066/3188 stock kernels.

OK guys try this!
Edit build.prop (you must be rooted).
Uncomment this line (remove the #):
#ubootenv.var.ethaddr=
And put an address after the =
I do not know if it need the : in the MAC address or not.
e.g. like this:
00:90:4c:c5:12:38
Or maybe like this:
00904cc51238
Try it,. it might be able to change your MAC.

Thanks Bob! I will get home in approx 4 hrs (with any luck that is) and will try it immediately and feedback.
Hi all - no dice I'm afraid - tried formatting the address with and without colons (made the change through build.prop editor). I will keep looking, if anyone has more things to try, let me know please! J
2.Copy license/ to C:\Program Files (x86)\Amlogic\USB_Burning_Tool (For instance)
3.Open USB_Burning_Tool,load the key_523.img,and the same as below:
4.Click 'start'
THX
I think I have to edit the 'mac*.ini' at the '\license' folder and so does it also have an effect to the wifi and bt if I want so?
I also see a HDCP.ini ?
Yes, looks like you have to manually edit the ini files. There is one for MAC, Wifi, and BT.
