m8 not going into standby sometimes

sometimes when I try to put my box into standy mode by pressing the red button on the remote it doesnt do anything. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt. For example, ill test it 10 times in a row and it will go into standy correctly but then hours later when i want to shut it off it doesnt? The other day it wouldnt shut off so i fell asleep with it on. I woke up hours later and I was able to shut it off correctly by me changing nothing lol but today i woke up and it still doesnt work..No idea what the hell is going on I'm using lifeforce rom 5/12 based off of acemax

it happens some times on some units and other it doesn't go figure

This is because of a running application or service. Install an task killer/manager and kill all process. After that you will succeed in stand by you box.

I am able to put into standy when things are open and I have tested it many times. Randomly it wont go into standyby though and as a test I have already tried a task killer but that didn't help. All day it wouldnt go into standy and just now it started working again. I just turned it on and off times in a row with no issues but I know tomorrow it will randomly stop working again. Its very very annoying and Id love to know what causes this. I am not doing anything different when it works and when it doesnt. Just using xbmc.

Do you exit Xbmc correctly each time. No home buton but the red cross lower left corner.
