Does anyone have a good kernel for the UT1 please?

    Hi there
Does anyone have a good kernel for the UT1 please?
overclocked or not but one that can handle 1080p smooth playback, and good pic quality..

    Thanks.

        kernel for cx-921 v1.4 pcb

        Hello,

I have a problem in that I can get ethernet working on my UT1/CX921 with the wasser k-42 kernel but ir remote does not work and then I can get ir working but no ethernet if I use the Purexbmc v2 kernel?

Any chance I can get a combination of both in a kernel at 720. My device is cx-921 v1.4 made in November 2013. I would be happy to help build kernels too with a little help.

        Thanks

Hi there, we all know wasser is a genius, wasser your roms are amazing.., but in this instance, i do think the 'marvin1080p cpu1800 kernel' for the ut1 is the best so far, very little problems with this kernel...

          try it..

If you post a dmesg and GPIO Dump, I can try to make a new kernel for you.
            Also run GPIO find.

            KitKat or JB kernel?
            Stick or TV Box?
            Ethernet chip
            Wifi chip?

Hi could i also try one please< I'm running JB
              1080p @24hz?

Thats very kind of you if you can make one..

                Hi,

Thanks for getting back to me, I will do all that today and put it up. Here are box details so long:

                CX-921/UT1/K-R42 TV Box

                JB Kernel
                TV Box
                Realtek RTL8201F
                Realtek RTL8188ETV

TV out - sound works, will test picture later with a new cable but it does not seem to work.

So the Kernel I used for Dump is perfect except for the IR control and possibly TV out, but I do get analogue sound output using the cable I have so will try and get a new cable to test analogue video. This is for a perfect world, the most important thing is IR functionality.

So the pureXBMC v2 kernel IR driver is the correct one for my device. I thought it may be the .kl file as the remote works in strange ways, but have since discovered that the KL files are fine if I use the pureXBMC v2 kernel, unfortunately that loses my Ethernet connectivity.

Be nice to get both 720p and 1080p, and if your feeling particularly generous some OC'd versions, but I can try and patch if its too much trouble.

Updated with outputs(Please let me know if I have done this correctly):

Just read this post here and changed ethernet clock source for pureXbmc kernel, perhaps this helps.

                  Please try this kernel:

                    Tried it!!!

                    Hi Walter,

I just tried to flash it and it bootloops.

Thanks for trying to help, with my limited experience my thoughts are that it might be easier to insert the IR driver into the working k-r42 kernel perhaps? a combination of the purexbmc v2 and k-r42 .config files?

                      Hi guys,

I have managed to extract the stock kernel and have noticed a few things. Here it is along with a rkxx-remote.kl file. It seems the kernel only does not work correctly in terms of IR remote after one tries to use the patchomatic on it. Speeds the kernel up but loses IR functionality at least on some of the output kernels I will try and see if I can get an oc kernel working with IR too.

Kernel and kl file are in archive attached.
