    Ipad Mini Or Samsung Tablet?

I have several Android tablets and love them. I was thinking about maybe getting an IPAD with credit card points once I accrue enough points. If I got one it would be the mini one since it is more easy to carry around.
The pros seem to be I read they have a 10 hr battery life and they are popular. The cons seem to be that the one they have on the credit card site is only 16gb and they do not take sd cards like the Android tablets do. From what I’ve read you cannot hook IPADS to a Windows computer to transfer stuff to the Ipad and have to use their Itunes App to download stuff. I also read that if the battery dies in one you cannot replace it and have to buy a whole new IPAD which would be more than I can afford.

I can’t afford to buy apps and have to use the free ones out there. I am fearful that some of the free apps I use aren’t available in IPAD format (IOS or whatever). I have on my tablets some free PDF programs where you can bring up a knitting pattern in them and highlight where you are and it can save it so you are at the right row etc when you come back.

I also have some free Bible apps like the ESV Bible, Updated King James Bible, American King James Bible, Geneva Bible and 1611 King James Bible etc where you can read without being online. I am so afraid there might not be a version of those for IPADS. I looked online and there is a free version of the ESV Bible for Ipads but the Ipad version of the Updated King James Bible costs.

And some of my games like Fruit Ninja and Candy Crush Fruit, Centepede and Solitaire, I’m afraid those may not be free in Ipad with my luck.
If I can’t find free versions of my Android programs in Ipad, then I’d be stuck only able to do the internet, knitting patterns, and a few of my Bibles and games.

Will the IPAD work okay for me? Or should I get a nice Samsung tablet I saw? They have it on the credit card site. I still have quite a while to decide not having enought points yet. But just thinking. Just looking for advice as I’d hate to get something and it not do everything I want. I guess I’m seeing everyone and his brother using Ipad and thinking man those seem so neat. Thanks for any advice folks.

my advise stay well away from ipad or iphone anything thas ios. the reason why i say that is because ios is a very limited os you will come across a lot of problem like apps not being free and using bluetooth to send or receive mp3's or photo's you will find that you would have to jailbreak your device and kill the warranty just to do halfe the stuff you were doing on your android tablet

Thanks so much for the info. It seems to me that Android probably did more but every one seems to have an Ipad and they looked so cool. I was liking the longer battery life I had read they had as my tablets sure don't last for 10 hrs before the battery runs low.

android is known to drain batteries fast but things are improving - a lot a manufacturers are starting to use intel processors with the ipad retina screen . All apps you have will have to be re obtained for the Ipad and Itunes is a real PIA . look at pipo, onda etc for their lastest tablets and ones that are well supports on forums so all that chinese bloat ware can be removed.
I just bought the wife the samsung 8" tab 3 -- really pleased with it -- its onlt dual core processor ( was on special offer ) but it flies and has split screen option as well -- if the 10" comes down in price I'll treat myself LOL

The Samsung sounds like a nice one. I am toying around with getting the Samsung first and then way later in down the road after getting it, when I've gotten more credit card points, enough for an Ipad then getting one. It sounds like it would not be a good option for your main tablet and that Android would be your best bet for a main tablet. Yet I see folks raving over the Ipads and folks in my 2 knitting groups using them which is what made me interested in one. Thanks for the info.
