    CS918 how to flash

Just received the cs918, cannot flash it, please see attached pic of the vendor software as well as model #.
Tried to flash it on my computer by holding the recovery button while powering, but will not work, even though was able to find and open it as a separate drive that is why I don't think I have a driver identification problem. Any idea of how to remove the cover without damaging the plastic?
    Please help.

Thanks for your reply, but I still cannot get my CS918 in the flash mode. When I hold the recovery button, nothing happens but as soon as I release that button than it goes into the drive mode and ask to open the folders, also it shows in device manager under Portable devices(RK31SDK). Could it be that my box is defective and wont go into flash mode?

Your first problem, I don't know what's wrong, the device or your environment, because you can also press and release the reset during normal running and it will be immediately at boot loader mode ('Class for rockusb device' at device manger) and hold this state till you power off the device...

Your picture isn't helpful, because no label information at the pcb and no information about wifi chip next to the antenna cable connector (of cause at the pcb)...

Ok here are my specs, similar to the other post
              XT-Q7-V10, 2013-12-05
              WIFI; RTL8188EUS
              BT; Mediatek MT6622N

So now, thanks to your help, I can find the FW, but still have the reset button not working!
I have just received this unit, I guess I can file a complain that the recovery button is not flashing mode!
Anyone else had similar reset problem?

no_spam_for_me, could my problem be that I also own a Minix X7 and I installed the Neo Driver install o my computer?
Do both X7 and Q7 use the same drivers?

I don't think so that this will be a problem...
but if ADB works, you also able to go to bootloader using adb:

                  adb reboot bootloader

                      1. Setup android
                      I've these settings in android
Settings -> [DEVICE] USB -> Enable Connect to PC
Settings -> [PERSONAL] Security -> Enable Unknown Sources
Settings -> [SYSTEM] Developer options -> Enable USB debugging
                      1a. Unplug power

                      2. Install USB-Driver via Moborobo

2a. Connect device via micro-USB-cable at OTG-Port at the device with your PC
2b. Plug power to your device (starts up automatically)
                      (2c. uninstall Moborobo)
(if there are any problems try other way to install USB-Driver http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...l=1#post106326)

                      3. Download ADB

Thanks, tried it (Moborobo) with no luck, but finally I got it in flash mode!
It was the button sensitivity tried few times, eventually worked
                        Thanks a lot.
