    MK808 Flash Problems

I have a rooted MK808 running 4.1.1. I am trying to get to the recovery menu, but get the red triangle every time. I have tried the following:

Held down the reset button while powering on -> red triangle
Run "reboot bootloader" and "reboot recovery" as root -> reboots to red triangle
Used multiple Windows-based ROM flash tools (including Finless) to select "reboot to Flash Mode"-> "Flash Mode failed"

The device seems to be working fine in every other way. Is it possible that the recovery image was corrupted somehow? Is that fixable?

A couple of notes: Windows & the ROM flash tools detect the device without a problem, but adb doesn't. Not sure why.

    Thanks,
    David

Recovery menu and flash mode are two different things, which one do you need?

I didn't realize that. The recovery menu is what I need.

      Thanks,

        Install a reboot app.
Then you can choose to reboot to recovery.

I already tried that too and it just rebooted to the red triangle. I'm pretty sure they do the same thing as "reboot recovery" anyway.

I cant't remember if it is the case for the mk808, but sometimes the android robot with the red triangle is the stock recovery's background picture. So maybe it is just a resolution problem and the text of the recovery menu is cut off. If possible, try it on another monitor/TV.

But what do you want to do exactly? because there is really not much you can do in stock recovery menu...

Yes it is a stock recovery, he must install a custom recovery to do someting in recovery...
