I am pretty sure it's checking build.prop that is in recovery and you need a older recovery so the assertion script in lifeforce ROM will see it is newer.

Hello Bob, I tried the 3 solution you proposed:
1-1) Edit the edify script and remove this check altogether.
I opened the update.zip file and dragged updater-script, modified it and dragged it back to update.zip... When I plug sdcard, my device recognizes as an update.. However, it ends with same error(this package is for RK3328 and not for rochchip001) despite that I already changed the updater-script from RK3328 into rochchip001). The device recognizes the update.zip as not valid update.

          2) Root the existing ROM then edit build.prop ro.build.date.utc and make this utc date lower than the date it is looking for in the script which is 1399861930
I tried this method which results in the re-installation of the firmware because when I changed the build.prop, it seems fail attempt and damaged the firmware.

3-Note: My RK3328 X88Max+ running H96 Max+ 8.0 and the update I m trying to do it for another device and not (img file but an OTA update).

          Can you help me, please.
