Your hopes must rely on a better amcodec implementation, not the 24fps patch.

Known issue with several 1080p files (your mkvs probably contain either Xvid or x264 files) and libstage. Use amcodec till issues are resolved. Again a dead end for the S802 platform. Waiting for a new firmware with better amcodec.

I have tried all 3 files with my Square M8 box (s802) No problem what so ever... Perfect Playback.

You give no info on how you did this. What firmware? 24p patch? XBMC codec used?

its the square box not round hence you can't use the FW (life-force fw ,quite old) and the xbmc version is 13.1 4K. and yes 24hz patched by me...
If you are experience the problem with the Latest FW just go back to old one

          Are you using amcodec only?

Spot0915 had stutter with old firmware 1.6 using amcodec only. Just want to make sure that these files play properly with 1.6/amcodec/patch24p.

PS. you are missing the better quality of software/libstage picture though.

I'm not that picky but tried Hardware decoding+amlogic only+1080p 24hz , no crash down etc.
remember 24hz stuff still at alpha stage...
P.s there is no patcher zip for the square box I don't know If there is any difference with the updater zip ...

I also had problems playing 1080p on my s802 amlogic using xbmc 13.1. The whole system would just restart. However i recently updated the firmware from stock using http://blog.geekbuying.com/index.php...ndroid-tv-box/

Since then my 1080p playback is working perfect with amcodec, mediacodec and libstage all selected and using xbmc 13.1.
