Ok, now the freeze occured just by leaving xbmc on home screen and going away for an hour.

The device was not doing anything, just xbmc home screen left open, and freeze, non of the remote control's buttons could do anything, not home, not power and no one else.

I'll flashing Finless Bob's 1.7 hoping he will be my savior but if not, perhaps it's just a defective unit that needs replacing....

      Hi.

      I had the same problem.
      The freeaze issue killed me.
The device have a Heat problem.
I added termal pad on the chip and add fan under the unit and it fix it.
The devise freeaze almost gone. Of course I upgrade to ROM 1.7 and install the latest Oman XBMC(Ghotam)

you can find explaination on the overheating and cool ideas in one of the sub fourm
      here.

Was your problem focused around XBMC ? or was it more globally appearing ?

can you describe what/when it happened ?

Did you by any chance had network problems while running XBMC ?

        Thanks

for me, it's not an option to add internal cooling to the box, the best i could do is place it on a naturally cooler surface, which i did and it didn't solve anything.

it’s started with the XBMC because I buy devise for this SW used. But I uninstall it and the freeze continue when I used you tube or play Movies or songs from my HD.
i didnt had any network problems while running XBMC.

BTW: the X-Untutu was 15000, Once I upgrade it to ROM 1.7 i get 30000.

30000? Looks like they found a way to cheat Antutu-X as well

              and so the Freezing continues......

just when I thought this was a passing bad

I got a total freeze (requiring complete power off)

I wonder if this is just a factory defect really and not a lot of people know this problem from up close

but from this experience I think, Minix or 3288 will be my replacement....

When I use external fan its working Ok.
When I don’t use it (Fan Off), its freeze.
I think I will cut the Cover and assemble the Fan above.
I don’t mean to buy additional one because this overheat issue.

the termal ped a lone dont fix the Over heating without the Fan.

                    Hi zeevg.

                    How many memory still empty?

Have you try to delete all your data and re-install one by one?

                    Settings/PERSONAL/Backup & reset/PERSONAL DATA/Factory data reset

It solved my momentary freeze issue...
                    CONFIGURATION:
                    Hardware: TRONSMART VEGA S89
                    Firmware: VISSONTECH 20140915 version
XBMC: 13.2 (include in VISSONTECH ROM)
