    Constant flickering on C918 (K-RK3188-V4.3)

    Can someone please help
I bought a CS918 (K-RK3188-V4.3 withoutbluetooth). It says the kernel version is 3.0.36+ [email protected]#482.
The problem is that every minute or so thescreen flashes black whether I am in XBMC or not and even if I am not doing anythingwith the box, making it unusable. I have tried a different HDMI cable and thesupplier has sent me a replacement, which has the same problem. Is thereanything I can do to fix the problem?

I would really appreciate some help.
    many thanks

Try a 3A charger or higher.
Also install a KitKat rom as the JB ones tend to flicker on 1080p, unless you build a new JB kernel with 1080p fixed which solves the problem.

Thanks Mo123, However, when I connected the device to my laptop and used rockchip batch tool, the device was not recognised. Does the device have to be in recovery mode and if yes how to do that? thanks again for your help!

You connect the box to the PC with the Batch Tool running.
Then hold the reset button under the box for 5-10 seconds and release, then you can flash.
A green box will show up in the Batch Tool.

Thanks for that. However the batch tool (v1.7) is not recognising the device ie green box not appearing. Can anyone help?
