Simultaneous Bluetooth and Wifi has been fixed

So has transfer speed via wired Ethernet 85Mbps from a max of 100 Mbps and the ability to actually turn the box off using the power menu.


All of these fixes were in the brilliant Test Rom posted by bob a few weeks back, I used it as my daily driver from its release until 1.7 was released and it was an excellent performer.

Honestly, I was hoping these fixes would make it into 105K4 and therefore finless 1.7, unfortunately it just did not happen. I can only imagine that the mastermind behind the minix rom (Where the test rom came from) is not communicating with Oman, which is a real shame.


I am sincerely hoping that Bob can duplicate these Gems from the test rom into his next version of finless.

Im a big android fan but one thing I have to hand apple is their willingness to spend time perfecting the features they already have over introducing new features.

At this time I don't think it is fair for me to rip it off to make custom ROMs for competitors. It's just not right at this early stage in my opinion. The competition is fierce right now as these are so new.

The Minix hardware is superior though. Battery backup inside, good heat sink, external antenna, etc, etc, etc... But again I just don't feel right about ripping off their work right now.

Every company is using the same sources from AML. Some are putting more work into the ROM than others. Minix spends a lot of coin making a better system.

I made that test ROM just so others could see what the Minix ROM is all about. I slammed it together as a kludge again so people could have a little taste. I never expected anyone to be serious about it working right.

So again, sorry I just don't feel right doing that right now. Once things calm down, we have sources working, etc... then things will change.

That is fair comment Bob, I wish I had known before purchasing about the quality of the Minix, TBH it is very difficult to pick out a leader of the pack with these devices, as they are all pretty much advertised as identical. Next time I will know.

Any plans to produce anymore test roms ?
