Help with firmware versions for Beelink M8

Hi all,

New to these boxes, but just ordered a Beelink M8. Read through a fair bit on these forums, found a lot of useful info. What is still a bit confusing is which firmware to use on each box.

Is any firmware for the Beelink M8, Beelink S82 and Tronsmart S89 going to work on the Beelink M8 ?

If you go to the Beelink site, there are different firmwares for the M8 and S82, yet Finless 1.7 states it works on all models. Just wanted to clarify if any firmware for above box would work on any of the models, or you need specific for each model (and it's just that the Finless 1.7 has been made to work on all 3)

So many similar boxes with similar names, it gets quite confusing. Any clarification much appreciated.
