    4k video artifacting

Just wondering how many people have tried running 4k video on the X8-H? I tried running the Sintel 4k video and got a bit of artifacting. The motion was fluid and there didn't seem to be any frame dropping so I think the decoder was able to keep up with it.

From where do you got those videos? I don't know if you can't post it here but if you can't send it to me via pm so I test it

The Sintel video is available on torrents or at http://download.blender.org/durian/movies/. Be warned... It's quite a big file for a short movie.

Sorry for the delay. I tested now with one of the videos and I experience the same issues than you. A bit of artifact in in the right side of the video and I didn't notice frame drops.

I also tested the video in other non android devices and I must recognizer that I'm impressed by the raw power of the X8-H when things are optimized properly. I will open an small comparison thread later.

No problem. I'm glad to see that you are having the same problem and it seems to be in the same area. I have watched the clip a couple times and get the same artifacting in the same area every time so I think that it's a problem with the decoder software. At least that is a fixable problem.

So, is Minix going to supply any updates that makes 4k work or do I just relegate it to HD duty?
