PIPO M9 (OLD PCB) TOUCHSCREEN DOESN'T WORK

Hi all,

I have the same problem. My pipo m9 touchscreen doesn't work. I had an issue with my Pipo touch screen similar to the problem you can see in the following videos:

So I decided to buy a new touchscreen directly to Pipo, I send them previously a photo of the touchscreen conector because they told me to do it because there different types of touchscreens. I put the new touch screen but it simply doesn't work.

I probe flashing with lots of different roms ( official and rileyrom) but it doesn't work. The only information I obtained is that my tablet version is old pcb because the only oficial rom that works in my pipo is the "M9 wifi old pcb 4.2.2_20130529" and rileyrom Pipo_M9_Max_RileyROM_Old_PCB_2.0 works too (the screen is not black and the tablet starts correctly but touchscreen doesn't works).

I read in this thread that rileyrom 2.3 fix one user tablet but it doesn't work with my pipo because this rom is new pcb ( the screen when I root the table stays black).

Could you help me? Thanks.

I have just recovered from a similar situation. I had opened my M9Pro to fix a cold solder joint (and also tried to fix some other things). After putting it together again, I found that the touch control function was gone. Eventually, I found that the contact marks on the flex cable looked very deep. The contact pressure on the flex cable connector was so high, that the thin copper leads on the cable were cut through. I used a scissors to cut off about 1 mm of the cable end to create new contact points. Then I had touch control back again.
