    MK809III won't boot after reset

Hello, I got the "old wifi" version of the MK809III.

It was working for +-1 year, until 3 days ago I noticed it was a bit hotter than usual, so I performed normal restart.

The device did not power on since.
I have tried leaving in disconnected for a whole day, no difference.

The red light still works, indicates that power is connected, but the device is ice cold and whatever I do it stays off.

Have also tried re flashing the rom, but Flash Tool keeps insisting that "No Found RKAndroid rock usb", have tried a few times.

Is there anything else I can do? or the device is simply dead?

    Thanks in advance

Maybe there is a test to run to show if the device is really dead? or any signs on the circuit itself...?

Are you able to get it recognized by your pc while you are trying to do a firmware update / flash (just to see, if it is completely dead internal or if just the video output is broken)
      Kind regards Snuffy

I can't get the RKTool to recognize it using the flash button

OK I have managed to recognize it as "RKAndroid MaskRom Rock Usb".

It is not the usual "Loader" state.

Can it be fixed like this?

Holy ****! It kept saying "can't download IDB" or something so I took a leap of faith,
I saw on the board 2 pins on the NAND that are bolted together (probably from the heat or something) i have sawed them im the middle using a knife and now they look seperated.

The stock Bath Tool now doesn't fail and I am trying to flash the stock firmwire...

              Well.

              That would explain a lot.

I think your nand was soft bricked through this shortcircuit... Now it will (hopefully) work if you reflash the firmware.

And: Please change your power supply. A 5V / 2A PSU just cost round about 15$/15€ (max!) and it is probably the reason why two connectors were molten together.
              Kind regards Snuffy

Well, i have flashed stock firmwire but the device still won't boot (It booted once [from the OTG port somehow] and froze after a few seconds).

It still connect always as MaskedRom, every time I manage to get it to LoaderRockUsb mode (which barely happens) it just stuck on 0% erase IDB, no errors, no thing, just 0% and no progress at all.

I manage to flash it on MaskedRom state and not in Loader mode, could it be that I flash the "wrong" memory?

Because when it's connected to the TV and i go to Flash Mode, I see on the TV it tries to boot.
But when connecting it normally to the power and the TV without flash button, just black screen and lit LED on the device.

                Any tips?

I have tried to "Upgrade" firmwire using batch tool (on MaksedRom state), it finishes good but no boot on normal mode (non-flash).
When I try to flash other roms (or even official rom) on LoaderRom state - the 0% thing.
I even tried "restore" button on official tool (no idea what it does) - no help there.

Anything I can go from here?
I can get to MaskedRom state and LoaderRom state.
