    MK802IV Bricked

    A while ago i posted this: http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...hlight=bricked

    I tried shorting pin 5-6 6-7 7-8. also tried 5-6 7-8 simultaneously.
    No matter what i do i'm stuck in mask rom mode. I tried different pc and so on.. Please help me, i'm becoming insane.. Click image for larger version

    Sorry to hear it. Ive had this happen to my first MK802IV. No boot, no HDMI, but powers up and responds via usb. Tried various cables, pc's of varying windows OS, and both RKbatch / Regardless of the route I took I always ended with "download idb failed". Had to be returned to vendor for replacement due to borked nand chip.

    Out of curiousity, what was flashed to it when the stick began to fail?

      Thanks for your reply. I flashed a wrong rom to it and then it didnt work.. Guess i'm gonna through it out of the window then and buy the intel nuc. I obviously need a fool proof device
