Ive flashed to Bobs Test rom! this issue doesnt happen now. Mx and Netflix remain updated to latest versions via store and dont prompt to be updated again on reboot.
Though its not for our box well the s89h! but the features defo fixed that issue above.
Finless 1.6 no issues also. These above issues on happened using STOCK for me.Last edited by madweegie; 01 July 2014, 18:53.

Iam using stock firmware 105k4 .i had only probs with netflix and mx player.if you stop the auto update when you installboth the problem overhere is gone.only thing is that in google playstore you see 2 updates as long as you dont update all works fine .i hope its resolved with the next rom.
I cant put 106k4 on my s89h since i cant burn it on a usb stick and untill now no sd version .i use win8.1 .so iam not sure if it has the same problem

It's caused by a script that it runs on boot that copies any APKs found in /system/usr to /data/app, effectively replacing any updated version of the app if they have the same name. By default that folder contains MX Player, Oman's XBMC build and Netflix. The solution is to either remove the script or remove the APKs you don't want it to reinstall. This will normally require root since you need that to remount the /system partition as writable. I did notice that I was able to remove one of the apps before remounting it though (even though 'mount' told me it was mounted as ro).
The proper solution to include the apps would be for Tronsmart to put them in /system/app. That would allow Android to handle newer versions properly and would likely allow users to disable them using 'pm disable' to disable them without root. The current implementation is just a weird hack.Last edited by blunden; 01 July 2014, 22:43.
