multitouch messing up nextbook 7 s

hello everyone i just got the nextbook 7 s from big lots for 89 bucks, i really like it, it is rooted now, thanks a bunch for this forum for that, but even before i rooted it, the multitouch function seems a little out of whack, its really twitchy, but still usable and frustrating some times, i was wondering if anyone else has had this issue, or if there was a fix for it, thanks a bunch for your time!!

    premium 7s

I believe I have purchased the same unit, from the same source.

Tabs are all new to me so I'm not sure what to expect, and considering it is a low $ MID, I suppose I might expect 'glitchy' ?

In my few days with the tab I've begun to read an included book, and put bookmarks in it.
Additionally, I took 5 pics of myself to try the camera.

When I tried to use one of them to replace the wallpaper, it demanded I crop the pic, so I did that.

Now, the blasted book I was reading does not show up in the roster. Gonzo!

Also, a number of the other books are showing up in duplicates.
Not really a great loss, but this glitch concerns me because on down the line, data could be lost.

At this point I am only operating on the 4mb internal memory and have not yet added an additional chip.
    Perhaps this is the problem?

By taking pics did something get over-written ?

i haven't had that problem, i have an 8 gig external i changed my wallpaper and haven't lost any bookmarks on my books, so it might help to get an external, im really happy with this tablet, for what i payed for it, i can live with the glitches, i just heard gingerbread had issues with the multitouch, so i thought maybe there was a fix, yea an external seems the way to go

        Tnx j,

Yes, the little android tab is all new to me, and I like it a lot, but it won't do quite what I'd like it to do! lol
I'll need to learn the file manager so I can see what's really going on in there,
I've got an un-used micro SD I had bought for an mp3 player that I guess I should put in the tab to see if that resolves this problem.
A few more days of reading threads and I'll be ready to try the finless rooting instructions.
I think removing bloatware might resolve some of the probs, too.
ICS should be superior to all the prior operating systems, so we should be good on that, I think...
I've still got to find what the difference is when upgrading to Jellybean, or if a few custom apps would be all that is necessary for improvement and to eliminate glitches.
I found an android programming course at another site I might try to work my way through, over time. Something new to learn about is always good!
As little as I know, I think the Big Lots Nextbook Premium 7S seems to be a great value for the $.

Yes, it's all too advanced for the likes of me! lol

I read threads and review posts trying to pick up a little here and there, and it does help a bit.

Today I even botched setting up an ASUS wifi router on my old XP system, and it's got an EZ setup Dr UI program included in the router! lol

Now I've GOT to learn this stuff. lol I've bollixed the net connection on that machine completely, and the cable modem was direct hookup, plug n play!

Too many irons in the fire, trying to use two MS systems, and the android tab... with the other daily battles... it's harvest time and I'm REALLY busy!

The newbie section here is not really for Dummies at my level... Anyone want to direct me to a less advanced tab board?

                Tnx

                  multitouch?

                  Can you be more specific?
Do you mean when you swipe it is not as smooth or as fluid as you would
like it to be? For example, your in your browser, surfing the web.
When you swipe up or down the page isnt very responsive, or move at all.
If this is the condition you are refering to, I might have a simple fix for you involving a file
                  already in your tablet.
If this isnt the case, please be more detailed, to better help you...
As for being an Android newbie, everyone is a newbie at one point
                  or another.
I have been using Linux since about 99 and I have become adept at things
over the years, but to this day I still say I am a noob. You can never learn enough.
I am an Android noob also.
Dont be afraid to ask or learn.
Let me know if I described your problem....

                    multi touch

it messes up when you try to use more than one touch at a time, you cant for example, play a nintendo emulator make mario run holding the direction button then try to make him jump because the button will get stuck, mind you, this is not why i have my tablet, i use it to read, and my school books, its awesome, it just gets suck i guess, i got a multitouch test, and when i have both touches down, and i lift one, the other touch is still lit lite im still holding my finger down on that spot, thanks!!!

                      O.K.
You might want to try this. I dont know how much you know about Android, but this is a simple
tweak involving editing your "/system/build.prop" file. If you tried this already, let me know.
You will want to add these parameters to the end of the file:

                      debug.performance.tuning=1
                      video.accelerate.hw=1
                      windowsmgr.max_events_per_sec=140

The first two increases touch response. The third scrolling speed.

                      Save file.

                      Reboot when done.

Let me know if that helped...

Well, if your Android has root access, you can download "ES File Explorer"from Play Store(Market).
I believe you can give it root access via menu, then navigate to "system" folder.
                          You will find "build.prop" there.
Long press on the file. Open as a text file.
Copy above syntax in my previous post.
                          Paste in "build.prop" file.
Paste it in the bottom so you know where to find it if need be.
                          Save it.
                          Reboot.
Try out the screen to see if any improvement....
