Netflix OS API level

    Netflix OS API level

    Those who are using Netflix on S89/S89-H, can you please check settings under Netflix and confirm what OS API it is showing?

    Minix x8/x8-H shows it as 15. It should be 19 for kit kat.

    I am just trying to figure out if it is Amlogic issue or Minix issue.

    To go to Netflix settings, you need to click on 3 dots on right top corner. You will see settings and Logout option. In settings, you can see Netflix version, build details and OS API.

          xbmc report api 19 even though on square m8 Netflix shows api 15

              Apk's are compile with a minimum SDK level and a maximum level, for reaching a wider range of devices.
              Do you have a device with a different SoC to compare ?
              Probably it's also api 15, if that's the case them it's not an AML thing.
              Netflix probably needs to update some service, or can't make it compatible with an higher api.

                  Then it seems that AML is using some backwards service to be able to run Netflix, or the service it requires.

                    anyone tried new netflix

                    netflix 3.6.3 build 1631cnntv under 1 week old

                    Still shows api 15

                      Yes, for me too it shows 15. Looks like AML has to fix something so that Netflix can consider the API 19.
