Can you tell if i am rooted. I used Superoneclick which seemed to work. If I run it again, it does say that device has been rooted. Curious because none of my info in the command prompt indicates rooting.

Very odd... there is no mtd folder...
BUt you can see you blocks now. I just cant see a way to determine wich block is update.img
We know its not 5, 6, ot 7
5 = system
6 = data
7 = cache
I am going to guess its block #4. So the command to dump for you will be
/data/rkdump /dev/block/mmcblk0p4 /sdcard/update.img
No I cannot tell you are rooted. One problem is when I had you type su (which means super user) it came back with a user root unknown error. I have no idea why.

try using backup.img instead of update.img
also because direcytory is odd try /mmmcblk0p4

well I dunno man. we cant seem to get the names beause you do not have mtd
lets see you you can dump system so we know weher doing something right

Even i can tell this did not work. Why do you think i dont have mtd and what exactly is it. I'm guessing it stands for mounted. Is not having it some kind of security thing from Ematic?

The only other way I know how to dump a tablet is from linux. Can you setup a dual boot of ubuntu?
