Finless ROM - How to Change Country ?

    Dear All,

First time poster and great fan of the tronsmart android tv box and the ROM of BOB.
The little Puck is our replacement for a mac mini that died

    My Question:
I live in the Netherlands and want to see/listen to some public broadcasting.
The apps of the public broadcasting look at my country and decide if I can look at some events.
But because the FinLess ROM states it is from the USA, I can not see those events/broadcasts.

Is there a way that I can change this myself?
perhaps via a terminal command or something similar?

    Thanks in Advance,

    EdzoB

for those who want to know what i wrote .main menu then settings other then more settings than you see an andriod menu go to langauge and put it in the langauge you want to .in this case dutch (nederlands).replace timezone look if it works like this .if this doenst work you can always use hola you can download it at the appstore i use it to wach the us version of neftlix instaid of the dutch one .

if tried it out this way without hola and it works fine here with the dutch channels .ned1 and rtlxl

      Thanks for the reply.
The language is set correctly to english (i like that)
and the "Date & Time" is also set correctly to Amsterdam.

Took me a while to find this on http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...inless-1-6-ROM

Bob dit the following in his ROM:
      5) ... I am spoofing a Samsung device (Nexus 10)
      8) Carrier spoof (T-Mobile) for better APP compatibility
      .

Bob did mention how to change the device setting
Your device will show up in google play as Nexus 10 device not a Vega S89! Understand this please.
I also left the original build.prop in the ROM called build.orig.
If you want to go back, just use ES FIle Explorer or a root file explorer and rename build.prop to build.old
      Then rename build.orig to build.prop.
Go into settings, apps, all and go into the Google Play app. Clear the cache and data.
Reboot! You should be back to showing up as a Vega.

But I am not sure if this also rollsback the country of the carrier.

      Any suggestions for that?

strange .i tried ned1 uitzendig gemist and some other dutch tv apps that i took from the appstore .the only one that didnt work was rtlxl it says that the rom is incompatible .the rest of the dutch tv works fine here .

it couldnt be your ip adres since that is dutch i think .normally when i want to watch a us tv station it says that i cant see it because of where iam living .i think it does that with my ip adres that it sees that iam dutch .

Thats why i use hola to see us broadcasting .So i thought maby you can reverse that because at hola you can set it to the country the way you want to .But normally i think they check your ip adres and if thats dutch it should work .I know its not a final solution but if it works .

          Hi Maria,

mm perhaps I am mix up a few things.
          1. I thought that I could not see all the broadcasts. But since you state that you don't have any problems, I will double check on that.
          2. I could not find the "radio 1" app in the Play Store, where I could find it on my samsung s4 mini and on the ipad mini. So assumed with nr 1. in memory that the country and carrier did prevent me from seeing everyting and downloading the "radio 1" app.

Thanks for sharing your experience, that helps me, with both points

          Jee for boards and internet

          grtz
