Kernal Comparisons of all the ROMs

OK folks, doing a compare of all the ROMs out there. The key thing first is all the kernels out there.

kernel #338 as this is what Yuandao is hosting on thier site. I have compared the following 338 kernels from all the ROMs. Guess what. THEY ARE ALL THE SAME except for the boot logo!!!!

Yuandao kernel has the Chiense bootlogo.
In4dealz kernel has the odd left shifted Android with DUAL CORE logo.
Another #338 kernel has a centered Android with Dual core.

Kernel 454
Well there is only one ROM with this kernel out there. It is different than 338 and 485. It is a unique kernel.
Since Yuandao is not hosting this, makes you wonder where it came from?


Kernel 485
I found 3 ROMs with kernel 485. Guess what yet again! They are all the same except for the boot logo!
What I call stock which has the Chinese boot logo
21020725 from Vondroid this has the penguins
Auzziepad ROM July 27 with penguins
Again if this is an official kernel, why is it not hosted by Yuandao?



So what does all this mean? We only really have 3 unique kernels out there. 338, 454, and 485.
So just because the boot logo is different (just like my 1.4 ROM) the code for the kernel versions are the same.

Now to test what the 3 unique kernels actually do differently!

P.S. I did find it interesting that the in4dealz kernel fixed my dead touch screen when the stock Yuandao ROM did not. Bot are kernel 338. I speculated the kernel was what did it and it still may have! But if it is the kernel that fixed it the Yuandao ROM should do the same. I am hoping to find out and recreate the dead screen which I did once already by flashing the 338 kernel over a 485 kernel.

So a little update flashing thyse kernels with erase NAND.

Kernel 338 and 485 both setup a bunch of empty folders on internal SDcard. Kernel 454 only setups up .android-secure.
