Stuttering mp4 stream playback on S89-H, anyone else experiencing this?

I'm experiencing stuttering playback of mp4 streams regardless of what video player app I'm using. I have tested with XBMC, MX Player and the standard video player app and in none of these the playback is smooth. The playback stutters when the camera pans and it almost stops every 2-3 seconds. I'm not sure exactly how to explain it. When camera pans slowly it moves smooth for 2 seconds and then almost stops and the moves smooth for 2 seconds and then almost stops and so on.

I'm not experiencing this with any other type of media. It seems to me as if this only happens when streaming mp4 files.

Has anyone else experienced this and can someone shred any light on why this faboulus device cannot play these files smoothly?

Mp4 works fine for me could be a slow link or slow Internet connection. I have had some problems with some mkv files

No my 100 Mbit/s internet connection should not be the problem. I'm experiencing this with every mp4 file so to md it feels like a codec issue.

I'm also not sure that everyone is actually noticing this problem because you need to look closely. But for me when you have seen it it keeps annoying me.

Is not anyone but me seeing a short stop like a dropped frame every second or so when there are camera pans in a movie?

Did you try 1080P-24hz patch? It should fix it.

If it is the same I was experiencing with finless 1.5, 1.6 the problem is the combination of specific mp4 files (+xvids) with amcodec. I don't know what the performance is with latest codecs as I gave my beelink away but you should try to go in xbmc's settings and set libstagefright for acceleration.

Let us know what happened (1080p@24 patch is a different story and probably has nothing to do with your problem)
