X7 rom performance benchmarks
Does anyone have a comparison of the benchmark performance of x7 roms? I am kinda new to the X7/android world and have tried a few roms but lately there are way too many roms for me to try and test. Since the hardware is standardized, the thing that makes the X7 perform well or not is the rom used. I am not sure if the launcher has much to do with performance but would love to hear from someone on this. Most new roms run XBMC and the vast majority of apps very well. The authors of the roms almost always mention smooth playback or snappy responce and list the features and known issues they are working to fix. Few of them actually quantify the performance using a known benchmark. I know benchmarks can be tweaked and fudged but when enough users report on the same benchmark then the rest of us can average the scores for a realistic performance expectation from a rom, much the way passmark.com does. I have used antutu, linpack, and quadrant. What benchmark(s) do you like and why do you like them? Please post your scores here. For consistancy please state the rom version, launcher used, benchmark app version, benchmark score, and a few comments (ie. poor wifi, issue with A2 remote, smooth XBMC Gotham playback with DTS over HDMI, etc). I believe many X7 users would benefit from this information. Bob, if you would like to modify the information requested from the users of various roms i would welcome your changes. Thanks.Tags: None
