XBMC HW / Hardware Decoding Support for specific models or is only the processor / chipset relevant? (e.g. RK3188)

I'm looking for a cheap XBMC Android TV box and now I'm a bit confused.

Through searching the forum, I happend to read that HW Decoding (H.264) in XBMC will only work with e.g. the minix X7.
But this model is more expensive then Tronsmart / Beelink.
How can I tell if a TV box on **** / amazon will work with XBMC?

Is there a list where I can see which TV Boxes will work with XBMC and have full hardware acceleration?

I'm sorry if there is an other, similar post - but I've used the search and didn't find anything useful.

    Thanks!

    hmm...see,

however.. while most units can run xbmc with hw acc (using official version or using special made ones)
Some units are just better at it...

like.. audio and video, are nice and vivid on amlogic/allwinner units (high gpu power)
-cons, allwinner has little to devel/rom support -low cpu power
-cons, amlogic high price -low cpu power
most rk3188 units are cheap, but always seem to need some kind of tweaking/fixing

Is there a list where I can see which TV Boxes will work with XBMC and have full hardware acceleration?
    there is no real list..

The best advice i can give you...
-buy something old.. and that has been supported by freaktab
-buy something cheap, it gives less frustration.. when something goes wrong
checkout blog.geekbuying and freaktab for reviews/user-feedback

    anyway.. goodluck

      Thank you mitchell4you!

I hoped there was a more percies answer but I expected that =(

Perhapse I need to ask a more percise question.

What are the cheapest Android-TV boxes with Ethernet (Cable) connector and are capable to play high bitrate (50MBit/s) H.264 movies in XBMC.

My first thoughts were to use the PureXBMC Version as I want to use it primarly for XBMC.
      Any suggestions about that?
