    CX-919II CYXTECH_RK3188_909 V1_1 Boot issue

    Dear Android freaks,

My CX-919II CYXTECH_RK3188_909 V1_1 stick worked fine until yesterday. XBMC movie was playing great but suddenly the screen crashed (freezes) and there was no way to reboot succesfully. In recovery mode my laptop recognizes the stick as it should be and i am able to flash serveral roms. I tried to flash +/- 10 different roms but without any luck to boot succesfully. Sometimes there is no HDMI output and with other roms it only shows for example logo SMART TV, then after a certain time android reboots again..... .(
I tried different USB cables and power supplies but always the same. Any help appreciated what can be wrong (i have searched a lot in this great forum already)!

By the way device was rooted before. Which latest ROM should work on this model TV-stick?

    Thanks a lot,
    Mark

This behavior is typical when over clocking the CPU with a weak power supply.

While you have tried other power supplies and cables, have you tried..

    - A power supply with an amperage greater than 3+ amps for clean power at low loads,

    - Short thick USB cable, not a cheap thin cable with poor shielding.

    - Removed all peripherals including SD card. Once booted, only reconnect a mouse.

    - Cleared the Delvik cache in recovery mode?

      Thanks for your prompt reply,

I already used a thick short cable with the orginal 3A adapter which worked fine for a couple of months.
Also micro SD card etc are removed from the stick. I have no idea how to start the recovery mode to clear the dalvik cache. When pressing the reset button while connecting the HDMI connector to TV nothing happens. I have flashed below rom succesfully:

cx-919ii, Bluetimes BT919, GM282, DM 918 etc. updatable to Kit Kat 4.4.x without bricking the device!!!
Screen freezes when i see the logo at startup. Any other advise?

      Thanks again.

A recovery like CWM or TWRP will allow the caches to be cleared.

However, I would recommend flashing a stock CX919II ROM before trying other compatible ROMs.

Okay, what is the best way to flash CWM on this device? Do you have a workaround for me please?

I would recommend starting with a stock factory ROM specific for your device before seeking a custom recovery.

You may find a compatible CWM or TWRP on this forum.

Typically flashing a ROM would clear all caches.

                  Hi again,

                  Installed stock rom:
                  Update_bt919_rk3188_dongle_ap6210_131123

Connected to TV and only text Bluetimes (Play with me) is shown, after that runs into bootloop again and again. Tried to load RK30GENERIC_CWM.zip with RKbatchtool but no luck either:

Load firmware failed. So no way to install CWM on my CX-919II CYXtech stick.
Who can help me to solve this issue?

Could you post a photo of your setup?

                      Herewith attached .jpg with config.

I flashed another FinlessROM with the following config:

                      Loader : RK3188Loader-L-_V2.13.bin
                      Parameter: parameter2gb
                      Misc : misc.img
                      Kernel : kernel_t_AP6210-J22_HD_v207.img
                      Boot : boot1080_large.img
                      Recovery : recovery.img
                      System : systemkk.img

Flashed and download image ok is the result. Connected to TV shows only Google TV and no further boot.
Is my device bricked??? If so can this be solved? (tried other combinations as well but seems i am out of luck).
